Nail - First Junk Nail

Today I just said screw it. I'm putting sparkles on my nails. It's my first attempt so I didn't expect it to be brilliant but I'm posting it anyway.  I'm still waiting for all my cute nail supplies to arrive so I can practice for now.
Spring break is here! I can't believe it's been that long since classes started. I still have so much to do and time just keeps flying by. Ellie is going to be one year old soon, how insane is that?

Ink Inspiration (and some piercings!) #4

I'm a little late on today's post! I added a couple of piercing pictures too. I've been thinking about all my old piercings I used to have. They are all closed up now except for my little extra earlobe piercing on my left ear. I will always have a little navel piercing scar, a reminder that I grew up in the 90's. I have a scar on my nose too but you can't see it unless you really look. The rest are all distant memories, although once in a while I will get that weird feeling on my tongue like I want to play with the bar but it's not there. A ghost tongue piercing I guess!

Things.

Things I'm Loving:
Fruit flavored tea.
Baking blondies.
Lush bath products.
Professional massages.
Coconut oil.
Fried rice and fried eggs with kimchee for breakfast.
Homemade lotion and body wash (from my aunt)
Freshly ground coffee beans.
Snacks from Trader Joe's.

Things I'm Thinking:
I've been noticing how fast my hair grows lately. Since I dyed my hair I have to keep up with my roots and they seem to grow in super fast! In four weeks I'm already a half inch in. This is making me consider getting a long bob. I've had shorter hair before and it looked horrible, but I think maybe a little bit below my shoulder would look nice. It grows so fast anyway it doesn't matter if I don't like it. Not to mention it will get rid of the darker hair on the bottom. My hair looks like a pink ombre because the bottom part is a little more orange than the top. It's not bad but it would be nice to make it a little more even.

Things I'm Obsessing Over:
Cute Japanese things! Like ULTRA kawaii kinda stuff. Over the top nails and cell phone cases. I've been eyeing all the Etsy shops that sell cute things and I finally ordered some. They are so cheap I have no idea why it took so long for me to do it. I've been in a super creative rut lately and it's driving me crazy. I literally had a dream about doing a decoden phone case last night. The last room we have to unpack is the studio, so I can take out all my stuff and finally start doing something creative!

Things I Might Do:
Joe is excited about the idea of getting a treadmill. I would love it! A side effect of doing physical training in Alaska with the army is that when its cold out the last thing I want to do is go to the gym. Since Joe is a marathon runner I wouldn't mind getting one as it wouldn't go to waste on him. It's a really big purchase though so we will have to see.

Nail - Pink Glitter

I was searching for my Swarovski crystals to put on my nails after I painted them with this cute light pink color. Of course I made the mistake of painting my nails first and then needed to go through my dresser without smudging my nails... So instead I found this jar of Wet N' Wild makeup glitter that I had for some reason. I don't think I ever used it. I know I had a Mac one but that's been lost for a while now... But yeah, what do you even do with makeup glitter?? I supposed it's a makeup artist thing. I decided to dip my nails in it and it came out pretty cute!
Do you remember back in the 90's when that glitter gel was a thing? People globbed it on their eyelids and in their hair and on their cheeks! Yuck!!

Somebody wanted to check out the glitter for herself!

Lately

My mom came out to visit again so Joe and I could do a little more unpacking. We actually got Ellie's bedroom all set up! We added an armchair I rescued from a coffee shop last January too, so now I have a spot to work on my laptop while Ellie plays in her room. She usually wants to "type" on the laptop keys though, so sometimes I unplug the mouse and let her play with it for a while.

I ordered the Jelly Belly Bean Boozled game off Amazon and played it with Joe and my mom. Wow, let me just tell you, these were SO NASTY! The game came with a spinner and we combined it with our Shots and Ladders game. My poor mom got almost ALL bad ones. It was fun but I will never play it again!

Ellie's finished bedroom.

We stopped at the local coffee place in Buffalo since my mom is a coffee addict. The red velvet doughnut was sooo yummy!

Ellie is now using Murray as a balance to stand up with. He lets her grab his ears and "pet"him. I even got a video of Ellie giving him a kiss!

It's been nice having Joe's stuff finally combined with our things from Alaska and Louisiana. We both had things in storage in different places for so long (a lot of my stuff was in San Diego until last year and Joe's was in New York.) Now we have Joe's stereo system from his childhood and I've been having fun playing music in the house that isn't coming out of a laptop or phone. It sounds so much nicer! We have his record player I got him for Christmas too so we can play some records when we dig them out of the last of the boxes. It's amazing how long it takes to unpack a house when you have a little baby around.

Ink Inspiration #3

I have quite a few flower tattoos already and as I was making this weeks list I realized I probably will end up getting a few more!

The moth above the knee!

The above was found at Inked Mag

I may have to add to my leg tattoos too! Can you spot the Descendants tat??
