Petit Fours
I would love to learn the best way to make petit fours. My cake turned out too dry. I figure that was because I used a "brownie bite" silicon pan, which probably needs a shorter baking time than the traditional cake pan. Still tasty though!

Pride Weekend
This Saturday was full of fun times! I went shopping with the girls, hung out with cute babies and best of all it's Pride weekend! The first pride I ever went to was in San Francisco, but lets face it, every day in San Francisco is Pride. Nothing could really beat that parade. I went to one in Las Vegas and it seemed there were just as many protesters as supporters. The Anchorage Parade had no protesters at all! It was small but still really fun and full of great people and organizations. Pride is like Christmas to me!

After the parade we went over to little Marley's second birthday party in the park. Mary made cupcakes and Marley found a boyfriend in the playground.
That night I babysat for a friends daughter, Elle. We watched Care Bears and built castles and drew pictures. I love babysitting :)

Red Dress
I made this dress today and I'm pretty proud of it (ignore the awful background!) It's a little big I think, but I still like it. Sewing turned out to be a lot easier than I thought. I will have to get myself an ironing board so I'll have more work space and an easier time ironing the hems down. I think I'll make this dress again with a different fabric.
I love the red polka dot print.

Owl Painting
My husband inspires me! He has been obsessed with bad 90's music lately, singing me Seal songs and making me watch YouTube videos of Hootie and the Blowfish. So I decided to draw some owls and blowfish. I haven't painted in a while, but after hearing some good old Hootie, I felt inspired to paint an owl. Perhaps a blowfish will be in the works soon?

Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Frosting
I really haven't been knitting a lot or even making scrapbooks. All I want to do is bake! I end up with more than I can possibly eat! I ate one of these babies from Brown Eyed Baker and decided it would be in my best interest to give the rest away before I got myself a muffin top. This is an excellent recipe for Dark Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter frosting. They were a hit with my neighbors. I don't even like frosting usually, but this kind was so amazing I licked the bowl ;)
Step 1: Gather ingredients
Step 2: Start drinking. Be sure your alcohol compliments your baking project.
Step 3: Melt delicious ingredients together, being sure to not eat them before hand. They will taste better IN the cupcake! Also, don't burn yourself on the double boiler.
Step 5: Mix that shit.
Step 6: Bake that shit. Making some icing.
Step 7: Put it in your mouth.
